We help young people gain the skills they need to shine bright

Scouting in Wareham and Isle of Purbeck is supported by a dedicated team of over 200 volunteers who help to run the programme and Groups.

These are in turn supported by a team at District level who provide advice and support on all aspects of Scouting from programme ideas to adult training.

Welcome to Wareham & Isle of Purbeck District Scouts

There are currently 7 Scout Groups in the District, 5 Explorer Scout Units that work closely alongside the Groups and 1 Scout Network Unit. For further information visit the Groups page or view the map of the District.

Because of the demand for places especially in the younger sections it is not always possible to offer places in a first choice of group. If you are looking for a place please complete the online joining form and we will endeavour to find a space somewhere within the District.

We are always looking for support from keen adults. If you would like to volunteer then please check out our Vacancies page or enquire on the online form if you would like to help at a particular Group.
